Zodia Custody partners with Marinade to offer Solana staking to institutions

Institutions using Zodia Custody's Gateway platform can now access Solana staking opportunities through a new partnership with Marinade, a Solana staking marketplace.

Zodia Custody Gateway gives the custodian’s institutional clients access to third-party services, with investors now being able to connect with Marinade for Solana staking directly from their Zodia Custody cold wallets. The partnership expands Zodia Custody’s existing support for staking on Ethereum, Polkadot, Cardano , and BNB, adding Solana as the fifth blockchain.

Zodia Custody is an institutional-grade digital asset custodian backed by Standard Chartered , SBI Holdings, Northern Trust, and National Australia Bank. Marinade operates as a Solana-based staking marketplace, offering Marinade Staked SOL ( MSOL ), a token that enables staking within its ecosystem.

"Integrating with Zodia Custody will establish Marinade Finance as a trusted staking platform for institutions,” Marinade Head of Institutional Growth Arunkumar Krishnakumar said. “This is a landmark partnership that has massively increased the optionality and security for institutions participating in the digital asset market, and will be crucial for institutions looking to grow and thrive in the space," Krishnakumar added.

Zodia Custody CEO Julian Sawyer said Marinade’s integration into Zodia Custody Gateway broadens institutions' access to digital asset staking solutions. "It allows institutions to diversify strategies and portfolios, all within a secure, efficient and streamlined environment, this is how we deliver the best of what digital assets have to offer to all financial institutions," Sawyer added.

The integration with Marinade is the latest Zodia Custody Gateway staking partnership to be announced, adding to existing collaborations with BlockDaemon and Twinstake. Launched earlier this year, Zodia Custody Gateway helps financial institutions discover vetted partners and services that can be accessed through integrations via their Zodia Custody wallets.
