PancakeSwap integrates Orbs-powered protocols dLIMIT and dTWAP

The decentralized exchange PancakeSwap has now integrated dLIMIT and dTWAP, two protocols powered by Orbs network, according to a release shared Thursday with The Block.

PancakeSwap users now have access to more advanced order types, and large orders on PancakeSwap will get broken down into smaller, more efficient trades.

dLIMIT is a decentralized protocol that enacts limit orders for decentralized exchanges or automatic market makers. Traders can use limit orders to specify the maximum price at which they want to buy an asset or the minimum price at which they want to sell it.

dTWAP, in which " TWAP " stands for time-weighted average price, is a decentralized protocol that enacts large orders over time. This breaks down the large order's impact so as to not drastically affect overall market.

"TWAP and Limit orders have been eagerly requested by our community for some time now," Chef Bun, PancakeSwap's product manager, told The Block. "We're excited to partner with Orbs network to empower users with greater control over their trades such as reducing price impact and automating DCA strategies."

PancakeSwap's TVL Crypto data tracker DeFiLlama shows PancakeSwap has $2.34 billion in total value locked and maintains a market capitalization of $953 million. It's the second largest DEX behind Uniswap, which has TVL nearing $6.2 billion. According to The Block's price page, PancakeSwap's native token, CAKE , traded hands at $3.73 as of 9:20 a.m. ET on April 11.

The Israel-based firm Orbs was founded in 2017. The team developing the protocol raised $10 million via token sale from the web3 investor DWF Labs. The Orbs network touts itself as a Layer 3 protocol by acting as an execution layer between Layer 1s or Layer 2s and applications. Both dLIMIT and dTWAP facilitated a total of $40 million in transactions, according to the company's release.

"In the process, it reinforces the protocol’s status as the preeminent solution for supporting advanced order types. Thanks to dLIMIT and dTWAP, PancakeSwap users will be able to trade more efficiently and enjoy better order execution without compromising on decentralization."
