TipJar, a cryptocurrency micropayment service built on the Ethereum blockchain network, is shutting down.

A TipJar developer announced the news on Reddit on Sunday, saying that the service has lately received “very little activity.”

TipJar supported micropayments in ether (ETH) and ERC20 tokens via Reddit for free. “The TipJar reddit bot is being shut down immediately, so tipping other users on reddit is no longer possible,” said the developer, adding that the TipJar website will shut down on April 10, 2020.

Users of the service, therefore, have been asked to withdraw funds "as soon as possible" via the TipJar website, as accounts will no longer be accessible and funds won’t be able to get transferred after the date.
