“Big Four” consulting firm Deloitte’s Luxembourg unit is running a trial, allowing its staff to pay for lunch in bitcoin (BTC).

"We think it's good to have our employees assess this new technology," Laurent Collet, a partner for strategy regulatory and corporate finance department at Deloitte Luxembourg told Luxembourg Times in a report published Tuesday.

The firm, however, is not planning to allow its clients to pay in bitcoin in the near future, Collet added.

Deloitte rival PwC’s Luxembourg branch, on the other hand, is set to accept bitcoin payments from clients beginning Oct. 1. The firm has collaborated with an unnamed local regulated exchange for the move.
