Over a quarter of Kraken employees get paid in bitcoin

Kraken, a cryptocurrency exchange that now employs about 800 people, said that it paid 250 salaries in bitcoin in April and that more employees are opting for getting paid in cryptocurrency every month.

The company reportedly earned $155 million in revenue in 2018 and had an operating margin of 56%. Kraken also added that the employee who was paid exclusively in bitcoin in 2012 retired a year later.
