Bakkt, the crypto platform run by Intercontinental Exchange, released a notice that its bitcoin futures contract would begin trading on December 12, 2018. That confirms a report by The Block from last week. Citing a person familiar with the situation, The Block's Frank Chaparro first reported that ICE was preparing for a December 12 start date. In August, when the platform was announced, the firm was expecting to go live in November.
