E-commerce giant Rakuten has begun accepting registrations for its new cryptocurrency exchange, the company has announced. The plan is to launch Rakuten Wallet in June. Starting from April 15, the applications are open for Rakuten Bank clients, who can use the Web application to set up their accounts.

The company has also introduced an automatic, AI-based chat service available 24/7 and is planning to launch a smartphone app to enable customers to trade their assets wherever they are.

The exchange rebranded last month as Rakuten Wallet after registering with a local finance bureau.
