Felix Kjellberg, better known as one of the most popular YouTubers PewDiePie has announced he will use blockchain platform DLive exclusively to live-stream his content, Variety writes. He has planned his first blockchain-based live-stream for Sunday, April 14.

According to Kjellberg, DLive focuses on creators and doesn’t take a cut from the subscriptions creators get —unlike Twitch, which retains half of subscription revenue. Creators get 90.1 per cent of each donation or subscription while the rest of the proceeds goes into a pool that rewards people with the platform’s currency—Lino Points. Even viewers can get rewards for engaging with creators.

“I’m excited to start live-streaming again regularly,” said Kjellberg. “DLive is great for me because I’m treated like a real partner." He also promised to donate between $10,000 and $50,000 in Lino Points to other creators using the platform.
